Robbie Knievel to Jump 16 Buses
Robbie's next confirmed jumps will be:
- June 5th - Will jump at Texas Motor Speedway.
- July 3rd - Watch as Kaptain Knievel attempts to
jump the iconic lake in the center of Wild
Adventure's beautiful park.
- Robbie is planning the Snake River Canyon jump
for 2011.
Robbie will be using a Harley Davidson XR- 750
same motorcycle model his father Evel Knievel
used in his failed attempt at Wembley Stadium in
1975, but he’ll be trying to jump 16 buses, 3
more that his father tried to do. The current
record is 15 buses held by stuntman Bubba
Blackwell.
On May 25th 1975, Robbie’s legendary father took
to Wembley to jump over 13 buses and crashed in
front of an audience of 90,000, breaking his
pelvis that almost ended his career, but Evel
was back jumping just five months after the
accident.
“I always wanted to do the Wembley jump that my
dad attempted and failed. Daredevils are a dying
breed. I’m proud to have been raised by one and
to be one myself.”

Am-Pro team is gearing up for a great 2010 race season!!
Am-Pro couldn't be more excited to have signed on Paul Whibley for the 2010 racing season. To say Paul had a good year in 2009 would be an understatement. Paul won 5 events in the GNCC series and he won all 10 events in the OMA series in 2009. With Paul joining Thad Duvall and Barry Hawk for the 2010 racing season, expect to see Am-Pro riders to be on the podium a lot in 2010 and back to winning Championships!! |

Jeb Burton To Make SBS Late Model Debut Saturday

After having competed in two Late Model Stock Car Division races at a nearby track, 17-year-old Jeb Burton of Halifax is preparing for his first Late Model start at South Boston Speedway. A 150-lap race for the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series Late Model Stock Car Division highlights Saturday’s four-race card at South Boston Speedway.
“I’m pretty excited about it,” Burton said.
“I’ll be racing in front of my hometown crowd. We just need to take our time and be patient in the race. Hopefully we won’t get caught up in any accidents and can keep our nose clean. I want to get some respect from the other drivers and race them like I want to be raced and come away with a good top-five or top-ten finish.”
A top-five finish, Burton said, is his goal.
